Design Inspiration: The design embodies the essence of our whenua. The green symbolizes the Ngahere (forest) of Taheke, representing our deep connection to the land and its natural beauty. The gold represents the future path of our mokopuna (grandchildren), reflecting hope, prosperity, and the bright future we are building together.

We are proud to present the design we have chosen to lead off as our first official Mahuri Marae restoration T-Shirts. Kia ora e te whānau! 2023 Mahuri restoration T-Shirts are NOW AVAILABLE. Mahuri Trustees are excited to offer the first of our 2023 supporters t-shirts available for you and your whānau to purchase, just in time for summer. This is the first in an evolving series of annual supporter apparel, that we will be offering for purchase for you to wear with pride, and help support our Marae funding. Our initial design depicts our whakapapa connections to our tupuna Mahuri and represents our whare. Each year we will build onto this design to represent our Marae restoration journey. We would like to acknowledge our very own renowned artist Arekatera (Katz) Maihi for his design offering, along with the support of our fundraising team, Kaumatua and Kuia for making this possible. All T-Shirts are $40.00 incl GST (all the proceeds going to our Marae Funding) PRE-ORDER NOW so you DON'T MISS OUT!
