Updates/news on upcoming events are regularly communicated in order to promote interest, momentum and awareness within the whānau.
We encourage anyone who can help to contribute in any way possible, either through mahi, koha, hosting an event or participating.
There are many different ways to get involved, it can be as easy as..
Sharing a post, spreading the word to your friends and whānau on upcoming fundraisers or events, pitching ideas amongst your whānau or the committee, koha, sharing knowledge & or skills that may in anyway help support this kaupapa, rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in with the hard mahi, no matter how big or small contribution to this kaupapa, with our combined effortsthe outcome is Ka mau tu wehi!

Bricks are NOW available and we invite you and your whānau the opportunity to dedicate your brick or leave a A lasting legacy that will be help rebuild our Wharekai & be displayed in the new whare.
If your whānau is interested, there are a variety of ways you can participate.

We have been blessed with the success of many fundraising events and promotions over the past couple of years to get things moving.
Funding cuts has made the securing of the much needed funds for our rebuild a forever moving target. However we are committed to getting this rebuild done with or without which means we need to be strategic and work together as a whānau to ensure the success of wellbeing of our beloved Marae.
We are asking for all our whānau to considering making a regular contribution (koha) to the Mahuri Marae Rebuild.
Eg, If one of our whānau households contribute say $5 per week then that is $260 per year. If 100 whānau households make that commitment then that's $26,000.
If we get 500 whānau households thats $130,000. At this point the potential of the oranga of our marae becomes limitless. So it's up to us whānau.
There are many that have started to contribute what they can and we are eternally grateful to your commitment to the marae.
The immediate plan is to rebuild the wharekai but the greater plan is bigger and effects us all.
If you want to know more feel free to reach out to your Marae Trustees at mahurimarae2022@gmail.com.
